How it started

From 1995 to 2011, Telecommunications Industry Group (TIG) was comprised of telecom-specific companies and organized as part of the National Minority Supplier Development Council (NMSDC).

In 2012, TIG merged with another industry group, the Information Systems Technology Group (ISTG), to form the Technology Industry Group. The organization reorganized as a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation.

In 2019, TIG changed its name to tech:SCALE and remains representative of a broad technology industry where telecom, consumer electronics, and enterprise hardware and software have merged into one supply chain. Through our collaborative efforts, we strive to bring supplier diversity into the next generation of supply chains.
